Ann Martha Juszczyk

May 12, 1918 — November 5, 2013

Ann Martha Juszczyk, 95, of Traverse City, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at her home with her family by her side.
Born May 12, 1918, in Jerome, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Cibery) Kelchak. On October 15, 1938, she married Edward Juszczyk, who preceded her in death on May 9, 2009.
Ann will be remembered as a very social, caring and easy going people-person. She retired from the US Postal Service, serving countless customers with her charm, wit and beautiful smile. She loved flowers and gardening, her yard always a display of color during all seasons .You couldn't find a bigger sports fan, with the Tigers being near and dear to her heart! She rarely missed a televised game! She was a good cook, introducing many of her non-Polish friends to the tasty world of sauerkraut and kielbasa and many other traditional dishes. She really enjoyed going to the casino, winning a few big jackpots by accidently hitting the "max" bet button and enjoying a glass of wine while she gambled. The valet employees would recognize her as soon as the car pulled up!
She loved being with family and friends, playing cards or just socializing.
She is survived by two daughters, Maureen Parkinson of Traverse City and Christine Juszczyk of Kalamazoo; grandchildren Greg (Barbara) Parkinson and Tracey Snow (Mark Kleckner); and great grandchildren Ryan Snow, Corey and Christine Parkinson.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Andrea Juszczyk and siblings Mary Karnich, Marge Walley, Michael, John, George and Paul Kelchak.
Visitation will be held at Reynolds-Johnkoff Funeral Home on Friday, November 8, 2013, from 7-9 PM with a Vigil service at 8:30 PM.
