Ann Marie Laughery

Ann Marie Laughery, 73, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026 at her home after a brief battle with cancer.

Ann was born on July 18, 1953 in Fulton, Il to the late Donald and Nellie (Brice) Bainter.

She graduated from Perry High School in Iowa in 1972. On February 12, 1972, she married Jeff Laughery.

Ann will be remembered for the immense love she had for her family and friends. Her favorite things in life were taking cruises to the Caribbean, playing video poker at the Casino and spending time with her family and dog Gracie.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved son Ryan; her parents and siblings Linda, Paula, Martha, Billy, Bobby and Jackie.

Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Jeff; their daughter Kara (Craig) Riffenburg; son Sean (Corinne) Laughery and daughter-in-law Wendy Laughery; grandchildren Abigail Thompson, Hannah Laughery, Sydney Riffenburg, Amanda Laughery, Mason Laughery and Olivia Laughery; sister Mary; sister-in-law Deborah (Steven) Voss and Mother-in-law Jean Laughery.

The family will celebrate her life privately at a later date.
