Anne Marie Rohdy

Anne Marie Rohdy, 81, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2021 with her family by her side.

Anne was born April 27, 1939 to Stan and Mary Saunders. She was a lifelong resident of Traverse City. Anne was a graduate of Traverse City St. Francis High School. She was a wonderful homemaker and mother, worked at numerous jobs in our community and retired from Munson Medical Center.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Tom Saunders.

Anne is survived by her three children Geoff (Barbara) Rohdy, Melissa (Michael) Shupiery and Ian (Ted) Aames; grandson Cale (Sabrina) Rohdy; her sister Mary Lou Aldridge; and many nieces and nephews. Anne also has several step grandchildren Lauren, Sara, Katy, Elizabeth, Evan, Clover, Ayden and Ivy as well as her companion and partner of many years, Rich Carpenter.

Anne loved feeding and watching the birds in her backyard. She was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on the Pistons and the Tigers. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. She especially loved visiting and laughing with her family and many friends.

Anne will be remembered by her family and friends for her generous nature and wonderful sense of humor.

There will be a celebration of Anne's life on April 10, 2021 from 1 - 3 pm at the Elks Club.
