Anthony "Tony" Joseph Deike, Jr.

Anthony "Tony" Joseph Deike, Jr., 69, of Williamsburg passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Munson Medical Center. Tony was born on February 27, 1947 in Saginaw to the late Anthony and Lorraine (Budzinski) Deike. He was married to Rita Crone on June 23, 1972.

Tony served with honor in the United States Navy, with the Brown Water Navy, during the Vietnam War. He attended Delta College and Lake Superior State University, and was a member of the Delta Sigma Nu Fraternity. Tony enjoyed boating on Grand Traverse Bay, the North Channel and Torch Lake. He also loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle with his wife and many friends.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Rita; a son Christopher (Brandi) Deike; grandchildren Iain Deike and Jenah Deike; brothers Gerry (Sandy) Deike, Rick (Nancy) Deike and Jon Deike; special friend and helper Stephanie Baker; "Pretty Girl" his dog Maggie, and many special friends.

Friends are welcome to visit with Tony's family from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City. Military Honors will be conduct under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and Cherryland V.F.W. Post 2870 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.
