TRAVERSE CITY — Ardith Marie Eisele, 74, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning surrounded by the love of her family. Ardith was born April 14, 1937, in Three Rivers, to Dale and Victoria (Sales) Norton.She graduated from Three Rivers High School and went on to earn a Registered Nurse Degree at the W.A. Foote Memorial Hospital Nursing School in Jackson. It was the beginning of a long and dedicated career of serving those who needed care. Ardith married Richard P. Eisele on Aug. 5, 1960, in Ann Arbor. Over their 40-year marriage they raised their four children, Christopher, Philip, Sean and Katherine. Her love for her children was expressed everywhere she went. She was also blessed with seven beautiful grandchildren. She was looking forward to meeting her great-granddaughter this summer. Ardith worked for over 50 years in the nursing field, mostly with her dear friends at Munson Medical Center. She considered her friends there very close to her heart. She was a compassionate and dedicated nurse. She always considered herself blessed to care for her patients.Ardith loved her family and spending time with each of them, particularly her grandchildren. She also was very blessed with many wonderful friends. Her bridge group and other dear friends enriched her life greatly. She always had the most sincere advice and cared so much about the welfare of those around her. Her generous, caring, loving and compassionate personality were the building blocks for many trusting and warm relationships.To those who shared in friendship with her, "Thank you!" Your friendship meant the world to her. Also, a thank you is extended to her medical team at Munson and hospice for your care and compassion during her courageous battle.Ardith is survived by her four children, Christopher (Debra) Eisele, Philip (Laura) Eisele, Sean Eisele and Katherine (Brent) Boerema; seven grandchildren, Jaguar Eisele, Nicholas Eisele, Samantha Eisele, Blaze Eisele, Jaime Boerema, Carly Boerema and Ridge Eisele; her sister, Delores (Dennis) Murray; brother, Sheldon (Yong) Norton; daughter-in-law, Robin Eisele; and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Victoria Norton; and the love of her life, Richard Eisele.A celebration of Ardith's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 9, at St. Francis Catholic Church. The family welcomes friends to share special memories of Ardith's life from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
