Our wonderful Arlene Hart, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 13, 2018. She was born in Traverse City, the daughter of Raymond W. and Gladys (Rinehart) Hart.

Arlene was a Slabtown native, nearly her entire life - living a block away from the home she was raised in. She attended Traverse City Schools, graduating from Central High School.

A medical transcriptionist, Arlene had been employed by the Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital, Munson Medical Center, Thirlby Clinic and Dr. Robert Pacer's office over the years.

She was a wonderful friend, always very accepting and non-judgmental. Her home was always warm, open and inviting and full of friends, fun, great food and fellowship. She was the very best baker and cook and hosted the best picnics ever!. Arlene loved to play the piano and was a proficient typist.

Arlene was preceded in death by her son Randy Hart; her parents, her brothers Vern and Ray; sister Janice Maull and her Sasha. She is survived by her nieces, nephew and a host of wonderful friends. A special thanks to her angels, Chelsea Labadie, Wayne Borden, Shelly Clemens-Gray, Barbara Rose with Hospice of Michigan.

A memorial service honoring Arlene's life will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at The Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior.
