TRAVERSE CITY — Arlene Elizabeth Lamie, 78, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully at Munson Hospice House on Dec. 8, 2010. Arlene was born on Sept. 9, 1932, in Suttons Bay, to the late Wilbert and Evelyn (Send) Perrault. On April 28, 1951, Arlene married Valere Lamie at St. Mary's Church in Lake Leelanau. Arlene was an active member at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and served on the luncheon committee. In her spare time she enjoyed tending to her garden, sewing and watching her birds. She was also an avid reader. Throughout her life she was an excellent homemaker. Above all else, Arlene loved to spend time with her family, especially around the holidays. She will be deeply missed. Arlene is survived by her husband of 59 years, Val; son, Calvin J. Lamie, of Traverse City; daughter, Virginia (Stephen) Plamondon, of Williamsburg; daughter, Nora (James) Beckett, of Grawn; brother, Wilbert (Millie) Perrault, of Kingsley; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruth Osborne; son, Dale Lamie; son, Leonard Lamie; daughter, Gloria Lamie; and daughter-in-law, Sue Lamie. A memorial Mass celebrating Arlene's life will be held on Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
