Arlene M. Vollmers

Arlene M. Vollmers, 77, of Cadillac passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions. Arlene was born on November 9, 1936 in Grawn to the late Elam and Ollie Myrtle (Bailey) LaParr. She was married to Daniel Vollmers on November 6, 1978. He predeceased her on December 6, 1981. Arlene retired from Cherry Growers after over 25 years of service. She loved country music, shopping, garage sales and flea markets. Arlene will be missed by her family and friends.

Arlene is survived by a sister, Loretta Barrett and a sister-in-law, Ilene LaParr. She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers; Eleanor LaParr, Inez Prentice, Edward LaParr, Wesley LaParr, Charles LaParr and Mose LaParr.

A memorial service honoring Arlene will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Lighthouse Church of God, 2770 Lafranier Rd., Traverse City. Rev. Darrin Brown will officiate.Friends are welcome to visit with Arlene's family starting at 1:30 p.m.
