Royal Oak - ZOGRAPHOS, ATHAN E. "Ace" Age 92- Passed away peacefully on October 19, 2012.
Long time resident of Royal Oak, MI and Petoskey, MI.
Beloved husband of Mary B. Zographos (Bataskis) for 61 years.
Also, surviving are two sisters, Emily Bielat (Russell) and Elizabeth Kennedy (Jack) and many dear friends.
Ace served his Country as a member of the US Army in WWII and was also a longtime member of the PGA.
He shared his love of basketball through coaching at Michigan State University, Berkley High School, and Petoskey High School where he took his team to the State Finals in 1951.
Ace's quiet demeanor, quick whit and charm will be missed by all those fortunate enough to know him.
Funeral home visitation is Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 5-7pm with a prayer service at 6pm, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City . Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, at 11am at the Archangel Gabriel Greek Orthodox Church.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Traverse City with military honors
