Barbara Ann Bayer

Barbara Ann Bayer, 86, of Interlochen passed away December 29, 2022 at Munson Medical Center with her loving family at her side.

Barb was born on September 11, 1936 in Detroit, MI to the late Walter and Mary (Laxton) Dierkes. She married the late Donald Edward Bayer on May 21, 1955. Together they lovingly raised two wonderful daughters Cheryl and Linda.

Barb was active in the St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic Church for many years. She was enjoyed her time serving on the Green Lake Township Association as past president. She was also the past president of the Interlochen Women's Club. Most of her days were spent at her cottage on Green Lake. Where you could catch her spending time by the water and cooling off with a drink in the boathouse. She also avidly walked the peninsula rain or shine with friends, catching up on the daily activity of the neighborhood.

Barb was very active for her age so her passing may come as a shock to many. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her gentle loving soul will be missed by all those whom knew and loved her.

Surviving Barb are her daughters Linda Lee Senior and Cheryl Lynne Johnson, grandchildren, Austin Senior, Kaitlyn (Skylar) Faria, Kelsey (Ben) Corteggiano and Jarrett (Heather) Gersten, great grandchildren Trey, Ava, Mila, Gregory and many other loving family members and friends.

Barb is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Don.
