Barbara Ann Bee (Andrus) passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022.

She was born January 31, 1931 and was raised on the Old Mission Peninsula. Her parents, Ira and Laura Andrus had ten children with Barbara being the youngest and being the last surviving sibling.

She was married to her husband of seventy years, Thomas Bee Jr. Barbara is survived by her five children Mike, Debbie, Ted (Kathy) Dennis (Karen) and Brian (Eileen); seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mom had a few different jobs while raising a family. In 1966 she became an attendant at the Traverse City State Hospital, where she worked for twenty years until 1986 when the State Hospital closed.

Mom and dad were fortunate to have enjoyed good years of retirement together. They did some traveling, a lot of fishing and loved playing golf. They even gave "doggie daycare" to their children's dogs and neighbor dogs so that they weren't home alone all day while the owners worked.
