TRAVERSE CITY — Barbara Jean Keeley passed away at the age of 89 on Feb. 1, 2012, at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City.She was born May 7, 1922, in Detroit, to Harry and Elizabeth Town.Barbara was a homemaker, raising her two children, Joan (Robert) Hawley and Dale Mahrle (Joann). Most of all she enjoyed being with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Donald C. Keeley.Surviving her are daughter, Joan Hawley (Robert); son, Dale Mahrle (Joann); grandchildren Lisa Siddall, Darren Hawley (Meghan), Robert Hawley, Kristin Mahrle Moore, Scott (Rachel) Mahrle; and sister, Mary (Carl) Hopfner. Also surviving are 16 great-grandchildren, ages 3 to 17.A private interment service will be held at the Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
