Beatrice "Bea" Annalee Manville of Traverse City passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Munson Medical Center, surrounded by her family, just before making it to her 100th birthday.

Bea was born in Traverse City on August 19, 1924, the youngest of seven children, to Joseph and Jessie Yagle. She married Elmer J. Manville on May 4, 1942 and they had five children.

Surviving Bea are her children: Elmer J. Manville Jr. (the late Katherine C), Diana L. Steffen (Dennis W.), Dennis L. Manville (the late Cindy M.), and Deborah K. Maylone (the late Scott L.); grandchildren: Katherine, Richard, Melanie, Eric, Angela, Wesley, and Alicia; and nearly 50 great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A lifelong resident of Traverse City, Bea most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She looked forward to family gatherings, scenic day trips, and visiting her favorite eateries and garden shops.

Bea was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; former husband; daughter, Shirley Ann; grandson, Kevin L. Manville; and great-grandchildren; Kristopher D. Gilmore, Cody D. Downey, and Karlie D. Manville.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone, she will be dearly missed.

Beatrice's final resting place will be Linwood Cemetery.

A Celebration of Beatrice's Life will take place from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at the Cherryland V.F.W. post 2780, 3400 Veterans Drive, Traverse City, Michigan 49684.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
