Beatrice Isabel Pickard, 86, of Traverse City passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at Bortz Health Care in Traverse City, with her loving family nearby.
Beatrice was born on February 1, 1926 in Traverse City to the late Adolph and Louise (Hendges) Lautner. On June 6, 1945, she married Kenneth S. Pickard, who preceded her in death in 1983.
Beatrice was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, crochet, and snow machines. She retired from Burwood Products in 1988 where she worked as a finish paint sprayer.
Surviving Beatrice is her brother Lennard (Carol) Lautner and sister Arlene Hahnenberg, of Traverse City, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy and Wilbert, sisters, Irene Skiver, Pearl Haywood, and Doris Kevwitch, her nephews, Charles Haywood and Ron Lautner and niece, June Waslawski.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM.
A memorial Mass will be held in Beatrice's honor at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Rev. James Hayden officiating.
Memorial contributions in Beatrice's memory may be directed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Hospice of Michigan.
Burial will be held in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
