Becky Elizabeth Peterson, 66, of Kalkaska passed away Thursday August 13, 2020 at Munson Medical Center.

Becky was born in Birmingham, AL to the late Neil and Laura (Halcum) Hanson. She met James Lee Peterson and two months later they were married on October 27, 1972 in Traverse City. They lovingly raised 3 great children together.

Becky loved to play cribbage and dominos. She enjoyed reading and especially going 2-tracking with her husband. She loved her dogs and her family very much.

Becky is survived by her husband James of 47 years; children Jamie Peterson, Jeremy Peterson, Mary (John) Jeffrey; grandchildren Amelia and John Jr.; siblings, Richard Hanson, Paula (Sam) Brentnall and Susan Yearout and the family dog Izzy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Nancy and step-mom Thelma Hartenbech-Hanson.
