Traverse City-Bernetta L. "Bunnie" Lardie, 84, of Traverse City, died peacefully Tuesday morning, July 10, 2012, at her home, surround by her loving family, friends and hospice caregivers. She is now at home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born February 28, 1928, in Traverse City, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence "Olie" and Mitilda (King) Hamilton.

Bunnie loved many activities including dancing, roller skating, cross country skiing, bowling and playing bingo. The last fourteen years she spent her winters enjoying the sun in Zephyrhills, Florida with her loving husband, Harold.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harold L. Lardie, of Traverse City; daughter, Barbara Johnson, of Toledo, OH; son Thomas (Jackie) Lardie, of Carlsbad, New Mexico; sisters, Deloris Hamilton, of Lake City and Merida Bailey, of Big Rapids; grandchildren, Traci (John) Rathman, Travis Walker, Amy (Mario) Valle, Todd Lardie, Robert Lardie, Jenna Lardie (Chuck) Conrad; great-grandchildren, Tyler Rathman, Baylee Rathman, Kelsey Rathman, Corey Cowan, Josh Cowan, Kylie Sophia Conrad, Jack Valle and Megan Valle.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale Hamilton and a great grandson, Sam Lardie.

Memorial Services will be held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, July 11, 2012, at 7:00 P.M. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Her nephew, Pastor Don Chilson from Reed City will officiate.

Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Munson Hospice.
