A celebration of life for Bernice Boocher will be held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 20th at 11 a.m. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10 a.m. until the time of celebration at 11 a.m. The celebration will continue with a luncheon afterwards. Burial will follow at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.

Bernice Edna Boocher passed away on Wednesday, August 14th, 2019 in Plainwell, Michigan at Life Care of Plainwell surrounded by loving family; she was 86.

Bernice was born on September 3, 1932 in Traverse City to David and Bernice Kaiser. On October 13, 1951 she married Glen Fredrick Strang in Traverse City.

She enjoyed garage sales, working in her garden, and crocheting. She especially loved playing with her dog Cooper and was an avid fan of the Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers.

Bernice is forever loved by Connie (Dave) Crawford of Copemish, Dan Strang of Interlochen, Penny Strang of Traverse City, Robert (Collen) Strang of Acme, Lisa Strang of Hastings, her beloved dog Cooper, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents David and Bernice, sons Richard Edward Strang and Glen Fredrick Strang Jr., sisters Grace Stachnick and Bertha Minier, brothers Louis Tweddle and Richard Tweddle.
