Bernice Mcdermott

TRAVERSE CITY – Bernice Jacqueline McDermott, age 87, of Traverse City, MI passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Munson Medical Center in the loving care of her family.
Bernice was born June 3, 1929 in Detroit, MI to Bernard and Irene (La Rose) Ewald. Following graduation she soon met the father of her four children, William J. McDermott. Bernice worked for the Taylor (PRC) Professional Resource Center as a print setter. Bernice absolutely loved flowers and gardening. She also loved to do arts and crafts with her grandchildren. She was affectionately known as Grandma Bee, Aunt Bee and Miss Bee by friends and family.
Bernice is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Greg) Riggs, Colleen (Joe) Gyuran, Susan McDermott, and brother, David (Sally) Ewald. Bernice is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Michael J. McDermott.
