Betty Ann Beutler

Betty Ann Beutler, 98, of Traverse City passed away Friday, December 26, 2025 with family by her side at Orchard Creek Senior Living Center in Traverse City. Betty was born on January 3, 1927 to the late Grover T. and Mabel C. Bellows in Sherman City, Michigan and married Ernest Hervey Beutler on September 10, 1947 in Rosebush.

As the oil and gas industry expanded throughout the 1950's and 1960's, Betty and Ernie lived in several different areas while Ernie drilled wells and Betty cared for their six children. In 1972, Betty and Ernie moved to Traverse City where she was a member of the Bay Area 147 Order of the Eastern Stars and worked at the Milliken's department store for many years. Betty was also a member of the local Betty Club and enjoyed, golfing, bowling, bingo and spending time in Florida and at St. Martins Point with family and friends.

Betty is survived by children Larry Beutler, Kay (David) Lurie, Jane (Terry) Boursaw and daughter-in-law Sue (Dale) Beutler, 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie, her sons Terry, Dale and James, two grandchildren and her five brothers and 4 sisters.

Visitation for Betty will take place from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City. The Funeral Service will follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 a.m. also at Reynolds-Jonkkoff Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
