BETTY R BICKEL, age 87, passed away on July 2, 2013 at Tendercare in Suttons Bay.
Betty was born on December 11, 1925 to Floyd and Mable (Conway) Ingersoll in Lake City, MI . She graduated from Lake City High School in 1942, and on September 11, 1945, she married Melvin Bickel, who preceded her in death in 1983.

Betty is survived by four sons, Gary (Shirley) of Horseshoe Bend, ID, Bruce (Kathy) of Grawn, MI, Clark (Dorothy) of Riverview, FL, and Kent (Marlene) of Traverse City, MI, her brother Leon (Ann) Ingersoll of Cheboygan, MI, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Guy Besey.

Betty resided on Duck Lake Peninsula for over 60 years, where she would make daily walks around the peninsula (sometimes twice a day), and she enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She served as Chairman of Elections in Green Lake Township for 30 years.

Cremation has taken place.
