Betty Jean Douglas, a loving mother, grandmother, and wife, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, at the age of 100. She was born in Buckley, Michigan, on March 16, 1925, to Ethel and Albert Wellein. Betty was a God loving, dedicated, and compassionate woman. She dedicated her life to her family, always offering a listening ear and excellent advice.

Betty spent most of her life in the Detroit area. In 2000, she and John moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, to live with their oldest daughter, Carole. After Carole's passing, they moved to Mobile, Alabama, to be closer to one of their children.

Betty is preceded in death by her spouse, John R Douglas, and her daughter, Carole Ann Douglas.

Betty Douglas is survived by her children, Janet Nix(John), Albert Douglas(Linda), and John Douglas(Elizabeth), and her grandchildren, James(Liz), Scott(Annie), Douglas (Alayna), Rebekah (John), Scott(Laura), John(Joanna), and Mikaela. She also has many loving nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and friends.

A private family graveside service is planned.
