Betty J. Dunham, 81, of Traverse City passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Munson Medical Center.

Betty was born on February 27, 1935 in Thompsonville, Michigan to the late Caesar and Helen (McDowell) Milnickel. She was a very active member of First Christian Church. Betty volunteered at Probate Court. Among her other interests she enjoyed collecting teapots, fishing and she truly loved camping with her family and friends.

Betty loved her blended family. She is survived by a son, Daniel Skurski; five daughters, Patricia (Tim) Snyder, Amanda (Larry) Lugo, Debra Skurski, Amber Dunham, Ashley (Bryan) Baker; stepsons, Larry Dunham, Earnest (Dorothy) Dunham; step-daughter, Kathy (John) Rumen; daughter-in-law, Cindy Skurski; sister, Olga (James) Johnson; brother, Caesar Milnickel, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Dunham; daughter, Marsha Dunham; son, Michael Skurski; step-children , Marlene and Steve Dunham.

In accordance with Betty's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held for the family in August.
