TRAVERSE CITY - Betty Anna Hogarth, 83, of Traverse City passed away Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Munson Hospice House in the loving care of her family.
Betty was born on January 8, 1934 in Wallin, MI to the late William Horaito and Eva (Bloomfield) Currie. Betty was the youngest out of her nine brothers and sisters. In 1937 Betty and her family moved to the farm East of Copemish, where Betty was raised and graduated from Copemish High School.
She married Arthur Robert Hogarth on November 15, 1952 in Thompsonville, MI. Together they lovingly raised three wonderful children.
Surviving Betty is her devoted husband Arthur of 65 years, children; Arthur "Bob" (Sue) Hogarth Jr., of Traverse City, John (Annie) Hogarth, of Traverse City, Barbara (Dana Donovan) Chesapeake, VA, grandchildren; David (Rachel) LaValley Jr. of LaCrosse, WI, Jennifer (Cameron) Kirby of Yelm, WA, Alex Hogarth, Traverse City, great-grandchildren; Lilly and Molly, of Yelm, WA, and great-grand babies; James and Aspen LaValley.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; John, Bruce, Roy, and sisters; Leona Cotton, Emma Hoover, Becky Hall, Edna Kerr, and Charlotte Stubbs.
At the request of Betty private family services will be held at a later date.
