Betty Pompstra, 97, of Muskegon passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Tendercare of Traverse City. Betty was born on March 21, 1920 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Jacob and Dena (Vanderlaan) Pompstra. Betty had been employed as a clerical secretary for Brunswick Bowling for 42 years retiring in 1984. In her retirement Betty volunteered for over 20 years at Hackley Hospital in the accounting department delivering paychecks. She was a member of Berean Church and the Super Seniors at the church.

Betty is survived by cousins; Marguerite Knoll and Beverly Decker, also special cousins Peggy Jarman and Patti (Thomas) Rose.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Janette Pompstra and a cousin, Art Fielstra.

Private family services will take place at a later date.
