Elizabeth "Betty" Marie Wheeler, 76, of Traverse City passed away December 29, 2020 at Munson Hospice House.

Betty was born on February 14, 1944 in Traverse City to the late George Robert and Mabelle (Dutton) Round.

On May 26, 1968, Betty married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Allen Wheeler. Together they celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Betty worked for Sara Lee on the pie line for over 25 years. In her spare time, she was a voracious reader. She and Bob loved to travel and made it to all four corners of the U.S. Her favorite destination was Hawaii. She also enjoyed abstract painting and had many beautiful pieces. Betty was an animal lover and her kitties were her babies. Betty was a member of Mt. Zio Family Worship Center for over 40 years.

Betty is survived by her husband Bob and her sister Bonnie (Bill) King.

The funeral service will be held at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 11:00 am with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
