Beulah Etta Peterson, with her family at her side, went to be with her Lord on November 29, 2017 at the age of 103 years. Betty, known to most as "Gram", will be lovingly remembered by her surviving daughter Nancy, as well as fondly and forever remembered by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, dear friends, and caregivers. Betty was born in Howard City, Michigan on March 23, 1914 to the late Albert and Elizabeth (Van Koughnett) Thompson. She met her handsome husband Benjamin at church in Detroit where they married on March 23, 1935. They moved to Wheaton, Illinois where they raised their two daughters. Betty devoted herself to her family and was deeply committed to and involved with her grandchildren. Her guidance leads them now and will continue for generations. She assisted her husband Ben in the development of his ice cream flavoring business, and was a quiet and steady influence throughout the years.
