Beverly Ann Fitzgerald (Rosinski)

Beveraly Ann (Longton) Fitzgerald, formerly Beverly Ann Rosinski, 79, of Traverse City passed away at home on August 11, 2018.

Beverly was born on March 19, 1939 on Torch Lake in Milton Township to the late Harold and Beulah (Bocook) Longton.

Beverly worked for Consumers power for over 37 years. She was in charge of dispatching the line men, including during natural disasters and emergency areas. She retired on April 1, 1996.

Beverly enjoyed traveling throughout her life, but always loved coming home to her country lifestyle. She was raised on her childhood farm, and went on to live a fulfilling life farming with her own family. She loved to collect antiques and dolls of all kinds. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, painting ceramics and needlepoint in her spare time. Later in life, Beverly was blessed with her only granddaughter Lilyana who brought her endless joy everyday throughout the final years of her life. She is best known for her gentle soul and helpful nature as well as her dedication to hard work. She will be greatly missed.

Beverly was preceded in death by her first husband Gerald Rosinski and her second husband Robert Fitzgerald.

Beverly is survived by her children Todd Rosinski and Ann Marie (Mark) Rosinski-Long; granddaughter Lilyana Rose Long; and siblings Bruce Longton, Carol Lake and Mary Kimball.

Visitation will be held on August 15, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm. The funeral service will be held on August 16, 2018 at 11 am at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Interment takes place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens next to her beloved husband Gerald.

Memorial contributions in memory of Beverly may be directed to the Friendly Garden Club of Traverse City or to the Children's Garden at the Traverse Area District Library.
