INTERLOCHEN - Beverly A. Nash, 78, of Interlochen, went onto Heaven early in the morning of December 16, 2017 with her husband of 63 years by her bedside. Beverly was born on August 23, 1939 in Holly MI, to the late David R. and Gladys M. (Knowlton) Hayward and was one of their 12 children.
She married the love of her life, Ronald L. Nash on October 16, 1954 in Holly, MI where they raised their family for 29 years before moving to Interlochen.
Beverly worked at Burke Lure, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and as church secretary at Grawn Methodist Church for many years, where she was also a member. She loved to bake, and her specialties included chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin, scotcheroos, cakes and apple pie, all of which she loved to share. She also used to make wedding cakes, a talent handed down from her Mother. She and Ron were able to enjoy many winters in FL, where she enjoyed weekly bingo and euchre. Her faith was never ending and she loved the Lord. She was a loving devoting, wife, mother, grandma, and "gigi" and she will be forever missed.
She is survived by her husband Ronald; sons, Daniel, Douglas (Kim) Nash; daughter, Susan (Brian) Houghton; grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Banks, Jeremy (Kelsea) Houghton, Matthew Nash, Kelly (Joe) Johnson, Kyle (Chelsea Schroeter) Nash; greatgrandchildren, Makenzie Nash, Keaton and Hadleigh Banks, Ava and Jaren Houghton, Joey and Ella Johnson, Dalton Nash; brothers, David Hayward, Glenn Hayward, Wayne Hayward.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Grawn United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions in Beverly's name to the Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Villa at Traverse Point for the excellent, loving care given to Beverly. Our hearts will be forever grateful.
