TRAVERSE CITY — Beverly Ann "Bev" Wooters, 76, of Kingsley, formerly of Traverse City, passed away early Tuesday morning, Sept. 20, 2011, at Munson Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family.Born March 4, 1935, in Traverse City, she was the daughter of the late George and Jenny Ramsey. On Aug. 16, 1952, in Traverse City, she married Richard Lee Wooters.Bev will be remembered for her love, compassion and strength that never wavered through her long struggle and courageous battle with breast cancer.Bev was an avid bird-watcher, who also enjoyed hosting family get-togethers, cooking and camping.Her family was her greatest treasure.She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Richard Lee "Dick" Wooters, of Kingsley; children, Linda Findley, of Wilmington, N.C., Tim (Ruth) Wooters, of West Columbia, Texas, and Brian (Kari) Wooters; and six grandchildren.Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, with visitation one hour prior to the service, at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
