Blanche Lee Mcallister

Traverse City - Blanche Lee McAllister, 92, of Traverse City passed away November 11, 2012 at Cherry Hill Haven.

Blanche was bon on December 20, 1919 in Owensboro, KY to the late Reatus and Pearlee (Cook) Sublett. She was raised in Flint.

On December 24, 1944 Blanche married Glen R. McAllister in Flint.

Blanche was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxillary. She was a wonderful mother and was very active with all of her children's activities. She enjoyed spending time at Canadian Lakes and winters in Leesburg, Fl. In her spare time she enjoyed cross stitch and reading.

Blanche is survived by her daughter Janice McAllister of Cedar, son Gary McAllister of Lake Orion, and daughter Julie McAllister of Manistee and Cedar and one grandchild Andrew Girrell of Traverse City.

Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Glen in 2007 after sharing 63 years together, sisters Mintie, Katie, and brother Walter.

Graveside services will take place on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester.
