Bob W. Secontine

Robert "Bob" W. Secontine, 91, of Glen Arbor passed away November 29, 2014 at Munson Medical Center.

Bob was born on July 11, 1923 in Bellaire, OH to the late John and Irma (Magellan) Secontine.

Bob graduated from The Ohio State University in 1949 and was a lifelong supporter of the Buckeyes. To friends and family he was known as "Buckeye Bob" and was a season ticket holder for football for many decades.

On November 9, 1957 Bob married Marge Kemp in Detroit. Together he and Marge raised their family of four sons Rob, Chris, Dave and Tim in West Bloomfield. Bob was a devoted husband and family man. He always put his family first. Bob was very active with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 1000 in West Bloomfield with all of his sons, and was especially proud of his two Eagle Scouts.

In 1999 Bob retired from Real Estate having sold properties for 45+ years for Century 21 Secontine in West Bloomfield.

In 2000 he and Marge moved to Glen Lake where they had enjoyed spending family vacations for many years prior.

Bob was a member of the "Noontiders" association in Glen Lake and enjoyed the many conversations he and the guys shared. He was very proud of his Italian heritage and loved travelling to Europe, especially to Italy to sight-see, explore and learn. He also liked to get outdoors and was an avid walker. "Wine Time" was a favorite part of Bob's life where he liked to enjoy a glass of "Vino". Bob will be greatly missed for his hard work ethic, his zest for life, and his ability to sit down and have a good conversation.

Bob was a long time member of Our Lady of Refuge in Orchard Lake and most recently of St. Philip Neri since 2000.

Bob is survived by his wife Marge, sons Rob (Judee) of Westford, MA, Chris (Stephanie) of Birmingham, Dave of Rochester Hills, and Tim of Chicago; grandchildren Alexandra, Robert and Olivia of Westford, MA, and Grace and Gabriella of Birmingham; brother Richard (Patricia) of West Palm Beach, FL, and sister Gloria (Jack) Dulworth of Houston, TX.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at St. Philip Neri in Empire from 2 to 5 pm with the Rosary to be prayed at 5 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11 am with visitation beginning one hour prior.
