Roberta A. Schott, 97, of Williamsburg, MI died September 14, 2022 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City, MI.
Bobbie was born January 19, 1925 in Cincinnati, OH the daughter of Robert E. and Florence Kemmeter Havemann. She grew up in Terrace Park, Ohio and attended Terrace Park School. On September 17, 1949, she married Joseph V. Schott II in Terrace Park, Ohio.
After high school, Bobbie went to work at Milford National Bank until marrying. In the late 1960s, Bobbie learned to drive and started working at an insurance agency in Cincinnati. She eventually took classes to become an agent and then worked for another agency in Milford, OH. In 1986 after their retirements, she and her husband moved to Elk Rapids, MI.
Bobbie was involved in several service organizations including the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Kilgour Chapter Telephone Pioneers of America, Lifetime Member of Grand Traverse Bay Power Squadron, and was involved with Great Rivers Girl Scout Council for many years. Bobbie was an avid reader and enjoyed needlework, jigsaw puzzles, crossword and Jumble puzzles.
Bobbie is survived by children Vicki (Bob) Rafferty, Jay (Barb), and Brian; grandchildren Janae (Travis) Beuerlein, Josh (Amanda) Schott, T.J. (Anna Burke) Rafferty, Jennifer Rafferty, Andy Schott, and Kerry (Joe) Muddiman; great-grandchildren Harper and Tobin Rafferty, Logan, Parker and Isabelle Beuerlein, Joel Schott and Ellie Muddiman; niece Cynthia Calvert and nephew Wayne (Lisa) Schott.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Joe Schott, her parents Robert E. and Florence Havemann, sister Betty Jane Calvert, and great-grandson Samuel Schott.
A memorial service for Bobbie will be held on Saturday, October 8th at 3:00 p.m. at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. and last until the time of service. Those unable to attend Bobbie's service in person may do so online at
