Obituary

Bonnie Sue Kelly, 82, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023.

Bonnie was born on November 27, 1940 in Grand Rapids to the late Adelbert John Wunderlich and Eleanor "Peggy" Marie Sundeen. She grew up alongside her brother Jack and was raised by her mom Peggy and stepdad Luther Davis Sanders.

Bonnie married Bernard "Lee" Kelly on September 24, 1966.

Bonnie was an amazing mom, "Bam", and friend. She loved to travel and thoroughly enjoyed going on cruises all over the world where she made many friends. She was a fierce card player and at times was even a bit ruthless. She did however, have a huge heart. She was very generous and very forgiving. She was a big sports fan, and loved cheering on the MSU Spartan football team. She secretly had a soft spot in her heart for dogs, although she would never admit it. She will be so dearly missed by her family and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Lee and brother Jack Wunderlich.

Bonnie is survived by her children Brent (Ann) Kelly, Kimberly (Richard) Burke, David (Julie) Bye and Sharon Kelly; grandchildren Madison (Joey Sweigart) Kelly, Kelly Kuhr, KayLee Kuhr, Bailey Bye, Erin Bye, Kelly (Jacque) Bye, and her best friend of over 50 years, Robbie Johnson
