Bonnie Isabelle Schroeder, age 84, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, at French Manor Terra in Traverse City, Michigan. She was born on November 4, 1941, in Eaton Rapids, Michigan.
Bonnie was a devoted Christian whose faith was an important part of her life. She was always involved in her church community, where she shared her love of music by singing in the church choir and playing either the organ or piano. A talented music teacher and musician, she found great joy in both making music and sharing it with others. As her health declined, she was no longer able to attend church, but her faith remained close to her heart.
Bonnie was a woman who loved staying busy and always seemed to have a project underway. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking, shopping, and creating all sorts of crafts. She had a special love for music and ice cream, two things that could always bring a smile to her face. Her many interests and creative talents were a reflection of her lively spirit and enjoyment of life.
Bonnie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kim (Larry) Weissling; her son, Greg (Angie) Schroeder; and her grandchildren, Chris and Nick Weissling, and Ben and Adam Schroeder.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harvey Paul Schroeder; her parents, Stanley and Maxine Bentley; and her brother, Burt Bentley.
Bonnie's faith, love of music, creative spirit, and devotion to her family will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind many cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to those whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 from 12:00 PM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM at the Central United Methodist Church, 222 Cass Street, Traverse City, Michigan. A luncheon will follow the service
