Brian Charles Haven, 60, of Traverse City passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 after complications from surgery and cancer at Munson Medical Center.

Brian was born on April 17, 1963 in Traverse City to Charles K. and Sandra M. (Sterk).

On May 18, 1985 he married Marianne Marie Maxbauer.

Brian was a gifted artist who worked on commercial body work. Aside from his own work, he spent over 20 years working with and for the concrete services. He took great pride in every aspect of his work, often showing before and after photos to anyone who showed interest. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and loved to help others. In his free time he enjoyed tubing down the boardman river, going to the casino and going on road trips. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with him.

Brian is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Marianne; children Brian (Cheryl Dee Merchant) Haven and Jessica Haven; grandson Theodore Maxwell Dee Haven; sisters Joan (Kevin) McNamara and Patricia Haven; step mom Kathy Haven and mom Sandra Haven.

Brian was preceded in death by his father Charles and sister Alicia Haven.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
