Brian Daniel Mcgee

Brian Daniel McGee, 58 of Traverse City, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Easter Sunday, March 27th, 2016.

Brian was born August 17th, 1957 in Cadillac, Michigan. He was a 1977 graduate from Traverse City High School where he was heavily involved in choir. Shortly after graduation, Brian began working for Chef Pierre (which later became Sara Lee and then Hillshire Brands). He was a loyal and dedicated employee on the third shift for the next 39 years, until his passing.

His favorite holiday was Christmas, in which he would be referred to by his family as "Clark" for his avid devotion and display of Christmas yard decorations. His favorite morning routine was stopping by the Chum's Corner Burger King drive-thru on his way home from work.

Brian is survived by his twin children: His daughter Amanda Lee and her husband Eric Steenhagen of Interlochen, as well as his son Todd Daniel and his wife Ashley McGee of Fredericksburg, Virginia. He has four grandchildren, Natalie and Seth Steenhagen as well as Anna and Joshua McGee. He is also survived by his older four brothers, Michael (Nancy), David (Laura), Timothy (Susan) and Patrick. He is also survived by his ex-wife Lori (McGee) Giddis, whom he remained closed friends with.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Marion McGee of Leesburg, Florida. He was also preceded in death by his infant daughter, Sarah Renee.

Visitation will held be March 30th, 2016 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home between the hours of 2-4pm.
