Brian Mikovits, 56, of Traverse City passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at his home. Brian was born on January 4, 1958 in Flint, Michigan to the late Baldwin and Andree (Mas) Mikovits. He graduated with honors from Davison High School in 1976. Brian loved to spend time at the beach and was very caring and giving to others. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
Brian is survived by his son, Steven (Crystal) Mikovits of Talladega County, Alabama, a grandson Hayden Mikovits, a sister, Patricia Altenburg of Grand Blanc, Michigan and a brother, Patrick (Ruby) Mikovits of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Also surviving are nephews; James (Julie) Redumski of Burton, Michigan, Jeff (Jennifer) Redumski of Interlochen, Michigan and a niece, Jennifer (Thomas) Heyworth of Davison, Michigan.
A memorial service honoring Brian will be held at a later date at Flint Memorial Park in Mount Morris, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial donation in Brian's name to the Father Fred Foundation, 826 Hastings St. Traverse City, MI 49686.
