INTERLOCHEN — Bridget Theresa Coccia, 70, of Interlochen, passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Bridget was born on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 1940, to the late Daniel and Birdie (Carney) Gallagher in Dearborn. Over the years, Bridget had been employed as a waitress and had also worked for the American Pathologist Association doing computer entry. Most recently, she enjoyed her "retirement" job of working as a cashier at Glen's. She loved to garden, having many rose bushes, and enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cooking and playing bingo.Bridget is survived by her children, Deborah Gelles, of Interlochen, Daniel (Samantha Sklar) Gelles, of Long Lake, Brenda Krohne, of Islamorada, Fla., and Mary Coccia, of Long Keys, Fla.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine (Gerald) Olmsted, of Suttons Bay. She was preceded in death by a sister, Collette Gagnier.A memorial gathering will take place at Bridget's home on Saturday, Aug. 28, beginning at noon.
