Burnette "Bunny" Ann Friedrich, 78, of Traverse City passed peacefully on February 13, 2016 at her home.

Bunny was born October 9, 1937 to Nolan and Marjorie (Evans) Carroll in Detroit, MI. After her retirement from Simplex, she moved from the Detroit area to Traverse City to live with her daughter Gerri's family.

Bunny will be remembered for her love of family, especially her granddaughters Jamie Schaub and Jenna Schaub. She had a unique way of making everyone feel special and important. She spent her time talking with her friends and family near and far. She enjoyed taking drives and having picnics along the water of Grand Traverse Bay. She loved Facebook as it allowed her to remain in contact with friends and family no matter the physical distance that separated them. Bunny cherished her time with her sister Judy Rinck. In her later life she was comforted by the caring friendship of her neighbor Pat St. Henry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Mark Andrew Friedrich; and sister Dorothy Callam.

She is survived by her daughter Gerri Schaub of Traverse City; sister Judy (Robert) Rinck of Lansing, brother-in-law Richard Callam of Lapeer; granddaughters Jamie Schaub of Traverse City and Jenna Schaub of Traverse City; daughter-in-law Karen Friedrich of Auburn Hills; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Sleder's Family Tavern, 717 Randolph Street, Traverse City, MI.
