Burton Dale Dean

Burton Dale Dean 67, of Kalkaska Mancelona area passed away Thursday July 13, 2017 at Munson Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Burt was born on January 13, 1950 in Jeddo MI, to the late Lester and Ethelyn (Decker) Dean.
He married Constance (Connie) Milks on November 17, 1979. Together they raised six children.
Burt was a truck driver for many years in the oil field industry.
Burt was a jack of all trades and proudly passed traits down to his son Shane.
Burt was a gentle giant and a quiet man. He was a devoted family man and a big teddy bear to his family. For many years he enjoyed his hobby farm.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. In the last couple of years he developed a past time for watching a lot of television.
Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years and his children; Laura (Ted) Parzych, Melissa Dean, Shane Ghastin and Mike Ghastin. His grandchildren; Theodore Parzych, Kendra Smith, Caleb and Kyle Fast, Jazmine and Jade McClellan, Amanda O'Brien, Justin Nyson, Ashley and James Dean, Alexa Dean and Justin Hartman and special great grand children. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Chris Dean sister in law Donna Dean and previous son in law Greg Fast. Burt's surviving siblings include; Juanita (Earl) Coon, Dick (Kathy) Dean and Bob (Faith) Dean, as well as many other family members and friends.
Burt is preceded in death by his parents, son Jim (2016), Daughter Katrina (1999) and siblings; Rosemary, Dave, Jack and Merritt.
