Calvin "Cal" J. Spangler, 88, of Grawn, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Country Pleasures.
Cal was born on November 17, 1926, in Grawn, MI, to the late Edward and Rosa (Bartz) Spangler. He married Willo M. Harger, on October 7, 1950.
Cal worked for Hahnenberg Trucking and was a farmer. He loved caring for his many horses. He was an active member of The North West Michigan Horse Club and thoroughly enjoyed hosting "Plow Day" each spring. Cal and Willo looked forward to their yearly UP trips to go deer hunting.
Surviving Cal is his wife, Willo of 64 years, brother-in-laws, Carroll (Lucille) Harger and Eli Haywood, sister-in-law, Carol Spangler, and many other loving family members and friends.
Cal is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lucille, Clyde and Genevieve; sister and brother-in-law Roseanna and Lavene Keith.
Funeral services will be held for Cal at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m.. Pastor Colleen Wierman will officiate.
