Carol Sue Chippewa, 69, of Suttons Bay started her journey home on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Carol was born on August 30, 1946 in Traverse City to the late Charles and Lucy (Schocko) Daniels. She was married to Wayne John Chippewa, Sr. on October 31, 1964. He preceded her in death. Carol was member Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. She enjoyed shopping and baking. In her spare time she loved to make stone birdhouses.

Carol is survived by a son and four daughters; Wayne Chippewa, Jr., Yolanda Chippewa, Lela (Brad) Chippewa-Barrett, Pamela Ureel and Crystal Nimeth, a sister, Lucy (Mike Steimel) Daniels, 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a special son-in-law, David Garver as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Chippewa, two sons; Damon Nimeth and Aaron Nimeth, a brother, Henry Daniels and three grandchildren.

In accordance with Carol's wishes cremation and private services have taken place.
