Carol Roberta Clous

BUCKLEY — Carol Roberta (Hudson) Clous, 72, lifelong resident of the area, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly April 24, 2015 at her home with her husband by her side. Carol was born on June 14, 1942 in Kingsley, to the late Ralph and Helena (Besemer) Hudson. She was the eldest of 13 children.
On June 1, 1963 Carol married Gerald R. Clous at St. Mary's of Hannah in Kingsley.
Carol retired in 2007 as a cook at St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic School. She was a devoted member of St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic Church and longtime treasurer and member of The Buckley Engine Club.
She enjoyed everything, especially traveling around the state. Above all else, she cherished her time spent with family and especially with her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her husband, Gerald; children, Charles, Anthony, Gregory (Margie), Bruce, Elizabeth (Steven) Schaub and Frank (Allison); grandchildren, Travis, Alisha, Myah, Patricia, Stephanie, Michael and Greysen; siblings, Joyce Strong, James (Sandra) Hudson, Edward (Linda) Hudson, Ellen (Glen) Kirkpatrick, Alvin Pete Hudson, Sandra (Floyd) Taylor, Ronald (Connie) Hudson, Terry (Dona) Hudson, Gary (Tammy) Hudson, Nancy (Alan) Mohler and Arthur (Rhonda) Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Albert Hudson; and brother-in-law, Thomas Strong.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's of Hannah on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will also be held at St. Mary's of Hannah on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11 a.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior. Graveside services will follow at the cemetery.
