Carol Lee Stevens, 63, of Lake Ann passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Munson Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was born as one of nine children on July 13, 1952 in Escanaba to the late Charles and Lucille (Barth) Wilcox. She married Edwin J. Stevens on August 3, 1976 in Elk Rapids, MI.
Carol enjoyed being a member of the Quota International Club of Traverse City for more than 20 years. During that time she held many positions including president which gave her the opportunity to travel to Australia with her niece Laura Herman.
Carol loved working with people and customers which made her a people loving person. She worked at Centel Cable Company in human resources, owned She Boutique, and recently retired from Macy's as a sales associate.
Summer was such a fun time for Carol and her family. She especially enjoyed camping, boating and hosting many family gatherings. Family was the most important thing for Carol. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her memory will be treasured for many years to come.
Surviving Carol is her husband Ed of 39 years, children; Brian (Kathleen) Killingbeck of Copemish, Renee (Shane Roy) Ingleright of Lake Ann, step-children; Cynthia (Kevin) Monohan of Washington, Julie (Les) Thompson of Arizona, Michael (Annette) Stevens of Washington, grandchildren; Matthew "Matt," Kathryn "Katie," Courtney Genevieve, Samantha "Sami," Victoria "Tori," step-grandchildren; Stefanie, Jonathon, Denise, Tommy, Jennifer, Mason, and many step-great grandchildren, siblings; Anita Sinnaeve of Wisconsin, Sharon (Erv) Schuette and Arnold (Sharon) Wilcox of Wisconsin, Joyce (Leonard) Schaub of Suttons Bay, Daniel (Dierdre) Commins of Lake Ann, Robert (Silvia) Wilcox of California, brother-in-laws Al (Berta) Stevens and Jim (Judy) Stevens of Michigan and many other loving family members and friends.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Eugene Wilcox, and Shirley Zastawny Netzorg.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Westside Community Church. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 11-1pm at the church.
