TRAVERSE CITY - Carol Ann Mahar, 56, of Traverse City, passed away on April 18, 2018. Carol was born on May 30, 1961 in Alpena, MI, to the late Harold T. and Dorothy K. (Olejniczak) Beaulieu.
Carol graduated from Alpena High School in 1981. She lived in Cadillac prior moving to Traverse City in 1992.
She married Patrick Aaron Mahar on October 7, 2000 at St. Ann's Church in Alpena.
Carol enjoyed planting flowers around the house, playing cards, collecting ceramic villages, and enjoyed the Cherry Festival, Lions Football, Fireworks, and the Blue Angels.
She is survived by her husband Patrick; stepdaughter, Malissa Mahar; stepson, Joseph (Amber) Mahar; grandchildren, Tyler S. and Annah Cowan, Jaxson T. and Joslynne Mahar; sisters "Tru" Roussin, Theresa (Patrick) LaBarge, Barbara L. Beaulieu; brother, Thomas (Peggy) H. Beaulieu; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael J. Mahar; mother-in-law Patsy J. Mahar; grandchild, Devon Cowan.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior at 10 a.m. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions in Carol's name to Munson Hospice.
