Carol Ann Turner, 70, of Traverse City passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at her home. Carol was born on May 2, 1946 in Anderson, IN to the late William and Edith (Fisher) Miller. She was married to Jeffrey Turner on September 22, 1979 in Bay City, Michigan. Carol earned a Master's Degree in Counseling. She was a real people person, talking with and helping veterans was her passion. She was a veteran's service officer for 14 years, a most recently Carol was the N.W. Michigan Coordinator of Veterans Affairs. She enjoyed sitting poolside with neighbors and friends and loved to travel, she has visited all 50 states. Above all spending time with her family was her greatest joy.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Jeff, three sons; Logan (Ashley) Turner, Scott (Jeannie) Turner and Douglas Turner. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Seth Turner, Justine Turner, Campbell Turner and Fallon Turner as well as two brothers-in-law; Ken (Gerri) Turner and Joe Turner.

Friends are welcome to visit with Carol's family on Friday, November 18, 2016 form 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St, Traverse City, MI 49684.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 p.m., with visiting one hour prior on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12675 Center Rd., Traverse City, MI 49686. Rev. Fr. James Bearss will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
