TRAVERSE CITY – Caryl A. Veach, age 70, of Traverse City, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Munson Hospice House in the loving care of her family.
Caryl was born to the late Howard and Margaret (Hoffmann) Engelhardt on June 13, 1949 in Chicago, IL.
It was in 1974 that Caryl made her way to Traverse City where she spent many of her years teaching.
Caryl is survived by her 4 sons; Ryan (Margaret), Nahum (Victoria), David, and Jacob, 5 grandchildren; Mady, Avery, Lauren, Johnny, and Alex, and her siblings; Lynn, Don, and Jan.
Caryl was drawn to nature and the beautiful waters of northern Michigan. Her spirituality was very important to her and remained constant throughout the entirety of her life. Her favorite spiritual saying, Namaste, will never be forgotten by all of whom she knew.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions in Caryl's honor be directed to the Redeemer Lutheran Church – Food Pantry, 1896 Rogers Road, Grawn, MI 49637.
