Traverse City - Grace "Casey" Marie (Hillmaster) Beals, 88, of Traverse City passed away at her home on October 12, 2014.
Casey was born on March 25, 1926 in Dearborn to the late Joseph A. and Eleanor (Poloskey) Hillmaster.
On May 27, 1967 in Sante Fe, NM, Casey married William C. Beals Sr.
Casey was a credit manager for a hotel in Los Angeles, CA prior to her retirement in 1979. In her spare time she enjoyed reading mystery novels, baking, organizing and helping with social events at Port of Old Mission and spending time with family.
In 2001, Casey and Bill moved to Traverse City to be close to family. They shared 43 wonderful years together.
Casey was preceded in death by her husband William C. Beals Sr., and sisters Evelyn Demers and Ruth McVey.
Casey is survived by her daughter Betsie (Larry) Kortokrax of Traverse City, son William C. (Martha) Beals Jr. of Alden, son Bruce (Amy) Beals of Lansing, daughter Katherine (William) Morgan of East Lansing, grandchildren A.J. (Heather) Kortokrax, Laura Kortokrax, and Cody Morgan and great granddaughter Avery Kortokrax.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Per Casey's request, cremation has taken place.
