Cathryn Lynette Olson, 80, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025 at the Grand Traverse Pavilions.
Cathryn was born on November 2, 1944 in Sault Ste. Marie to the late Herbert Justin and Reva Inez (Gough) Olson.
She graduated from Traverse City High School in 1962 and then from Michigan State University with a degree in Elementary Education in 1966.
Cathryn will be remembered for her love of shopping, writing and reading.
She is survived by her siblings Robert (Norma) Olson, Gail (Thomas) Kearney and Chuck Olson; nieces and nephews Brent (Polly), Jeffery (Kristin), Julie (Nathan), James, Thomas, Charlie and Hannah; and great nieces and nephews Carter, Jackson, Ella, Luke, Crew and Blake.
The family will celebrate her life privately. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to the Leukemia Foundation.
