Cathy Gray

A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother mother Cathy Gray, age 76, of Grawn, MI, met her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, after a struggling with Parkinson's Disease.

Cathy Gray was born in New York. She was a devoted healthcare professional and a leader in both state and national multi-discipline neonatology. Her life's mission was to insure both mothers and babies, specifically those born prematurely, had every opportunity. She loved her family with every ounce of her being. She wanted to make sure everyone around her thrived. Cathy loved to make handmade crafts, kayak the Michigan rivers, and bike. Annually, she knitted and crocheted Christmas hats for newborns in Manatee County, Florida. Disney was a yearly part of her Florida life, where she enjoyed her retirement 50% of the year. Cathy Gray was a devout Catholic who supported many charities.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents: William & Mary (Gavagin) Rotberg; her father-in-law Jack Gray; her son-in-law, John Borre; and nephew William (Bill) Rotberg.

She is survived by her daughters: Laurie Gray, Kristin (Joseph) Duncan; grandchildren: Shawn Borre, Kiley (Rich) Troia, Jessica Borre; great-grandchildren: Khloe, Jaxson; brother, William "Bill" (Angie) Rotberg; and lifelong friend: Marjorie "Diana" Stephens.

Per Cathy's wishes, cremation will take place. Cathy's final resting place will be at a cemetery in the state of Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, March of Dimes, and The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
